Dave,
Version 4.2.06.24 came up and seems to be operating as expected. I
will keep watching for the distortion problem and record audio as
requested.

Fixed reported bugs and made cosmetic improvements to the
updates report dialogs.? Tested these use cases:
- no files at remote web site
- remote site not available
- internet services not available
- test version newer than posted
- posted version newer than test
- test and posted versions the same

That makes perfect sense...
These 2 things I noted:
The 'About' screen still shows '(C) 2008-2014' => should
be '2025', of course.
When clicking 'Check for updates...', fldigi ver4.2.06.21
crashes (disappears entirely from my Win7 OS screeb) after
about 5 seconds, without notice, when there is NO web
connection. It can then be restarted again as if nothing
happened. This crash behavior is 100% repeatable. In
ver4.2.06.19, it displays 'Update site not available' in the
4th status field, for a short time, without crashing, and
continues working normally.
