Re: Know of a place I might find a used 57 Wagon Transfer Case?
开云体育Hi Richard...? you know... ya think that just might be the way to go??? Would you need to know the diameter of the middle shaft? Because I heard someplace in all my calls today something about the case being interchangeable and I'd need to know that stationary shaft's diameter. What would you be asking price wise? Im in Los Angeles so add shipping on top. Sent from beautiful Bessemer City

Can you post a few pictures of where it is cracked? Lock-n-stitch makes some great cast iron repair options. And none of the risks that come with welding.

Re: Know of a place I might find a used 57 Wagon Transfer Case?
Before welding the crack needs to be deep "V'ed" to get down to clean metal. Cast iron has a coating that doesn't weld very well. After grinding the case should be heated to 500+ degrees in an oven or with a torch in the area of the crack. If the crack is in the mounting flange it would be a good idea to bolt it to a steel plate to keep warpage to a minimum. Good luck. John '56 Pickup TKER TOY Graham, Wash.

开云体育And afterward to cool slowly. If it is not in a bad place, it could be brazed easier than welded, but you would have to get the crack area red hot for the brass to bond. Barrett? Pruit

Wagon trailer hitch
Here's yet another detail that needs to be finished on our wagon.? I've had this "custom" hitch for years - it needed to be thin enough to fit between the oversized gas tank and the valance.? The backup light is in a poor position but should do the job.? Wires need to be connected.

Re: Argentina to Alaska trip
If you look through all their YouTube posts, they have had their engine out twice so far. So they seem to be doing a lot of wandering around. Near as I can tell, they are in center Mexico now. They also crossed paths with Mexican Police and survived.

I strongly suggest they wait until this time next year.? On the other hand, if their Willys were to show behaviour that slows them down, by the time they get to the Washington/BC border, the situation might have changed! PUN |

Re: Argentina to Alaska trip
I thinkn their biggest obstacle before reaching the US is the fact that there is no road that connects Columbia and Panama through the area known as The Darien Gap. That being said I’d gladly join a support team for them. I live in Seattle. It could be a natural fit.
