I don¡¯t know where you are located. I have a case you could have. I¡¯m in Wisconsin. To properly weld cast it must be heated first, welded with nickel rod and allowed to cool slowly. We used to put it in a drum of vermiculite overnight to cool.?

Found out my 57 Wagon transfer case is cracked. Booo.
Wondering if it can be repair welded (that is, if it's not made of pot metal) or if there's a recommended salvage yard I might find one of those?
