Re: Scottish Country Dance Try-it Nov 20
开云体育Greetings All,I am a newcomer to the area as well as to the dances. I attended one ECD at Channing Murray before it was moved to Mansfield. This was my first return to ECD after a long hiatus, and I enjoyed it very much.? I am a timid driver, live in Urbana, and have not dared the trip to Mansfield. If anyone would be willing to give me a ride to the Scottish Country Dance event, I would be most grateful. Thank you. Wendy Hartley (530)955-1227

I can't do evenings in C-U, but of course would be glad to dance Scottish during our usual ECD time, at our ECD place. ?

Hi All, Some of you may have met Michi Baubock? at one of our traditional dances. He is in CU for the next few years on a grant. In addition to other traditional dancing, Michi is a Scottish Country (Set) dancer (with the teaching credentials of that group) and is willing to teach some Scottish dancing. Long term hopes are to establish a regular group, but for the moment we are focusing on a Try It workshop. For the Try It to be a "go", we need a minimum of eight people for one four-couple set. Please let me know if you are interested. Pass the word to anyone else you think may be interested. Facilities and date are TBD, but I picture the usual locations on a Tuesday evening, Friday evening, or Sunday afternoon for 1-2 hours. We'd ask each person to chip in to help pay for the facilities, probably about $5 each. Thanks, Sue Hanson |
