Dear Urbana Country Dancers, During the second half of the contra dance on March 7 one of the dances I was calling began to fall apart. I attempted to fix the problems with the dance. Whether or not this was a good idea in general, I know I was wrong in the way I handled the situation. I should have just stopped the dance and either started again or moved on to another dance. I know that I spoiled many peoples' enjoyment of the dance and caused distress for some. I am very sorry for the way I handled things. It was never my intention to harm or alarm anyone. I messed up and I sincerely apologize to everyone for what happened and promise to do better in the future. Sincerely, Jonathan Sivier
