Erik
I ordered my first tinysa via?Amazon UK on Sept 12th.
The seller is Dexuan.
Today I received an email from Dexuan to say that the case was damaged and they have given me two options. Cancel my order. Agree to wait longer for a replacement. I agreed to the latter but do not know the? delivery date as yet.
Let us hope this situation is unusual and packaging will be satisfactory in future.

Philip, I assume you did see the "where to buy" page on the wiki
and here you can see how the tinySA sold directly from Hugen are packaged
The seller Dexuan is unknown to me.

? The way the tinySA is packaged in a box with molded packaging it would be very difficult for the tinySA to be damaged during shipment.? Possibly the shipping container? was damaged by some heavy handed postal workers.?
? Also, case damage is a common excuse for sellers who over commit and can't fill an order.? Three of my club members had their orders canceled because the seller did not receive as many tinySA's as he had ordered.

Hi Erik and Herb
This is a copy of what I received via Amazon UK.
I had held back from buying a tinySA until it was advertised on Amazon UK as I prefer buying items that way. Erik mentioned a few weeks ago that Amazon would be a source?for the?tinySA at the end of August. . The only Amazon seller was the one I used, that is dexuan. I followed the tracking which?said the tiny was in transit. The expected delivery date was Sept 18th to Sept 23rd, a very short?time. The attached information arrived today Sept 17th.? The order was made on Sept 12th. and it?went?through Amazont smoothly.
I have decided to wait for a new tinySA and hope this arrives one day.
I just this is all genuine. What do you think?

There are no clones yet. All manufactured by Hugen.?
|
The tracking on my Amazon order still shows the original arrival dates so I am watching with interest to see if new dates will be given.
I look forward to doing some comparisons with my antique Tektronix 7L12 SA / TR 502 and Marconi TF2720 SA / TG when (if?) the tinySA arrives.
Thank you Erik for a fascinating instrument.

It's possible that he meant that his entire shipment of tinySA was damaged. But I'm with the crowd here; I'd take the money (the refund from Amazon) and run to another supplier.

Hi All,
Unfortunately, I have already asked for another tinySA and not a refund. I have had a thank you from Dexuan510 and they understand my request but no indication of when (if) I shall get an instrument. The tracking on the original has now stalled before the delivery?period. How long is it before one can get a?refund?from Amazon? Does Amazon deal with rogue traders? Also where else in the UK/EU can one buy a tinySA?

Hi all,
I am still confused where I stand with my purchase of a tinySA from Dexuan510 via Amazon UK. Is my credit card purchase frozen until the item has been delivered as shown by the tracking diagram?
Other UK hams / electronics enthusiasts must have bought a tinySA successfully. Please could you contact me off-list to give?me the name of your seller in case the Dexuan situation is a scam. As things are, I cannot recommend the purchasing of the tinySA to my UK ham friends. We need a reliable safe UK/EU source as reliable USA sellers like R&L do net sell to the UK. I never had this problem purchasing my nanoVNA..
Please help. Thank you in advance.

Hi Phil,
I'm sorry to hear of the problems you are experiencing.
I bought mine from Maggie's store in China, using the method as described in the Tiny SA Wiki.
I received it in the UK in about 10 day's after placing the order, which surprised me as I'd chosen to use normal post.
A very smooth transaction with postal tracking and no duty or additional charges imposed.
Regards,
Martin

Hi Phil,
I am not in the UK. I odered my tinySA through Amazon here in the U.S. and the seller was Seesii (never heard of them before). Over the years I have had a couple of problems but ordering through Amazon has been very helpful with any problems. My tinySA was promised to arrive in November but instead it arrived a couple of days ago. In my case that was little less than a month. I also ordered my nanoVNA through Amazon. It came through a different seller and it took most of two months. I paid more by ordering through Amazon but in the end I received good items and with peace of mind during the wait.
Do you have tracking information yet? You can contact Amazon if you have concerns.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your reply.
Hello from across the pond. Our daughter in law and son live here in Manchester UK. She is American and hopes, COVID willing, to visit her mother in Kansa City over Christmas.? My wife and I have fond memories of visits to the USA (Texas, Missouri, California / Nevada).Listening on?my?Eton E5 RX in Tahoe I was amazed how strong the WWV 10 MHz standard frequency signal was. Before it moved to Boulder it was an excellent calibration signal here in the UK and now is too weak.
My experiences of Amazon UK have always been positive having purchased a number of electronic?items for my ham radio.?? The tracking information was put up on the day I ordered, Sept 13th, and is now saying the tiny is arriving tomorrow. The puzzling thing is the message that was sent by Desuan510 saying that it will be arriving later due to the first item being damaged. Another UK forum user had an identical message and chose the option of stopping his order whereas?I chose to wait for another tiny Sa from Desyuan.
I do not know what the tracking will show later this week but wait with interest.
I shall report my conclusions to the forum about my order probably next week. If my order was to a scammer both Amazon and other potential buyers?need to know.

Hello All,
I am trying not to bore you but I wish to send details of my order of a tinySA from dexuan510 via Amazon UK. One other forum member, as well as myself, had received?the same message, that the instrument had been returned due to damage.
After an extended tracking time period ended, I contacted Amazon UK to ask for a return of money spent (48 GBP total). Less than 24 hours later the tinySA arrived safely and undamaged. It has the tinySA trademark on both the instrument and the case and all accessories are present I have contacted Amazon to cancel my refund.
My conclusion is that dexuan510 is a genuine supplier to UK hams although amazon UK is not listed on Eriks list of recommended suppliers. The total time from order to arrival was 14 days.
Now to switch on the tinySA and join the happy band of tinySA users.
Keep safe Phil G3SES??

One of the authorized resellers operates using various shop names. I requested a list of shop names to add on the wiki but did not yet receive.

Hi Erik,
Apart from dexuan510 I have noted the following all selling the tinySA on Amazon UK. Riiai_EU, Elikliv_EU, ytrew. All have different trade numbers and VAT numbers apart from ytrew which does not show a VAT number. There is a great similarity between each seller, with identical pictures of the tinySA, including one showing a PC screen background behind the tinySA which I do not recognise. It is nothing like my nanoVNA saver screen. There are, of course, a number of sellers on EBAY. All the Amazon sellers are listing a time delivery from ordering to arrival of about 12 days maximum. All the above are selling to the UK with prices shown in GBP.
Thanks Erik for all you have done in design and development of the tinySA

Phil, ? Bought mine from "Elikliv_EU", ordered on 18th Sept via Amazon UK. Although Amazon Seller info indicates this company is in China, packaging indicates a Return address in Basildon, Essex. Tracking indicated that package arrival on Friday 2nd Oct, but arrived today via proper Amazon courier company. Regards Frank G8PCB
