I found that tones below 100.0 could be problematic with some truck
installations. The gravely and loud voices into the mic could false trip
with some users.

I would avoid 118.2, 179.9 and 241.8.They are close to 60Hz harmonics.I had a repeater on 118.2 and it would false everytime the A/C or Heat kicked on.Changed to 885 and the problem was

Have you isolated both TX and looked at the spectrum coming down the feedline Ken. If that mp3 is generated by the HT keying the RX > TX, what can you see via the RX or a T into the LDF4-50

One of the local UHF repeaters had a jumper center pin desense problem, but that was with the opposite condition where below a certain temperature the center pin pulled apart more. I do not remember
