Motorola GM300/Maxtrac rear rx pin not passing audio
I will start out by saying this is the second gm300 to do this to me. I use it as a repeater receiver. Does very well for what it is. The unfiltered rx audio from the gm300 feeds a masters SC50 micor

Re: Filter recommendation for DC fan motor interference to echo Link.
Thanks, Mike, I found that you can never have to many fans.

Re: Filter recommendation for DC fan motor interference to echo Link.
We have been having an extra tough time getting the brushless fan noise on a Henry amp out of a linked repeater audio line. Tried more and more, now up to 4 automotive noise filters in series, and

Re: 19 inch rack mount AC power strip
Why don't you just bypass the switch, like a non switchable type. Those switches do go bad in time, and let the outlet circuit breaker trip if there is a short.

Re: Filter recommendation for DC fan motor interference to echo Link.
I'm trying to run this thing in my battery backup system as well so running it on an actual power supply wouldn't work all that well unless the power supply is powered by the battery. And on another

Re: Kenwood TKR-820 UHF
I found on mine running it on irlp or allstar, had to run a fan
on both heat sinks and cut power back to about ten watts. Cost
me a p a replacement to learn that lesson.

Re: Filter recommendation for DC fan motor interference to echo Link.
The other thing I've tried, and that is if the noise is on the dc
line is running the fan on a separate small 110 v 12 vold dc
supply. However, Get the ones that still use an actual
transformer. I

Re: Kenwood TKR-820 UHF
Iirc some were...it could be the 723 regulator going bad or a cap
dying...if that's the case, replace the regulating IC usually a 723 and
check the pass xstr to see if it's dying...you should see 18

Re: Filter recommendation for DC fan motor interference to echo Link.
I find that grounding plays a role in DC fan noise
suppression; try running the filtered fan power wires straight to the
power supply.

Re: Help with out of range programming a Motorola GP300
Ron,
Some HTs will not go much past their designed range as the VCO,
transmitter, and receive filters bandwidth is only so wide.
Once programmed, you'll need to run the alignment section of the

At least 1500 if not more. Especially since they are still in production
and they're not going anywhere anytime soon. Try 80% of the new price,
that's what I usually use. What

Re: Filter recommendation for DC fan motor interference to echo Link.
You could try about a 10 ohm resistor, with a >2000 uf cap on both sides to
ground (A pi network). Better yet, use a toroid instead of a resistor
with a lot of windings.
Good news is that the noise

Re: TKR-850 No Receive
And yes, the front end needs to be re-tuned if it's being moved more than maybe a MHz.
But there's also an issue with ceramic filters in the IF on most all radios from that vintage back into the 90's.
