Hi Gary, I'll keep you informed of my progress, and pitfalls, hopefully few. I must admit I've only ever seen one running on a layout. John's article is the only well documented and account of the K1 build, although not built as a Backwoods ?Kit intended, a true masterpiece and something to be inspired by. I've only seen articles on 0 gauge Vivian Garratt's and a NGG16 no doubt someone will correct me. Are you intending to dip your toe in the garratt pond in the near future?
