Dave, Can you post a screen shot of the full fldigi window? An experiment is to go to your home directory and just for testing rename the .fldigi directory to something else and restart fldigi. Do

I'm not able to get to post a screen shot of my problem. As above in the topic, my IC-7300 is now receiving nothing but garbled characters when in various modes (Qlivia, PSK31, and other data modes.

Zero issues here on Opensuse Tumbleweed running Plasma 6.1.1 and Mesa 26.1.2 and Wayland. I know there were some early Plasma and Mesa issues especially on Nvidia hardware (AMD GPUs were unaffected

I also have trouble running fldigi on a Raspberry Pi running Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm. It uses Wayland by default. fldigi runs very very slow. I switched back to openbox and it works fine. I did not
