As a refresher, I’m seeking an IT Operations Manager or Director of Enterprise Infrastructure for immediate hire, based out of our corporate office here in Irvine.? The right person for this role is a hands-on jack-of-all-trades with expertise in server administration, network engineering, desktop support, vendor management, and project management; nice-to-haves include prior experience in hospitality and M&A, but this is not required.? There are no direct reports to this role, but many of these services have been/can be contracted out, if managed appropriately.

Position Summary
The Manager (or Director) of Enterprise Infrastructure provides architectural guidance and hands-on management of corporate and enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, technical support for corporate associates, and technology planning/execution/support for KSLR’s portfolio of hospitality assets.

Primary Responsibilities
?
- Design and execute systems infrastructure plans for increased operational and technical efficiencies across KSLR’s global portfolio of resorts; participate in acquisition infrastructure planning from due diligence through divestiture; travel to portfolio resorts and work with local IT teams, serving as a trusted expert advisor
- Provide hands-on support to users of technology with a focus on delivering superb customer service; troubleshoot hardware, software, network, mobile device, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment issues for both premise and cloud-based systems
- Build, deploy, monitor, and manage virtual servers, data storage systems, networks, Office 365 / Active Directory systems, cybersecurity tools, and disaster recovery/business continuity plans; document SOPs and drive consistent standards throughout the KSL Resorts portfolio, ensuring compliance with government and industry regulations, such as PCI and CCPA

Required Qualifications
?
- College degree in a related field or relevant certifications, such as Cisco and VMWare
- Hands-on expertise in user support, VMWare server virtualization, fiber-channel or iSCSI SANS, Cisco network engineering, and scripting with PowerShell, SQL, and/or other technologies
- Solid verbal and written skills, appropriate for a customer-facing role with senior leadership; experienced at documenting and explaining system diagrams, preferably with Visio
- Attention to detail; ability to prioritize, track, and manage resolve multiple concurrent projects and support requests in a time-efficient manner
- Able to travel as needed for managing projects and providing technical guidance to resorts
- Hospitality systems experience preferred, but not required

For $75 and depending on how important those files are, you might try recovery. It may yield nothing but it is low cost.

I have a thumb drive that I have used for years with files on it.? When I try and use today it tells me to format the thumb drive… I know doing this will delete this existing files.? A local computer guy told me he would charge $75 to try
and recover…but some files are personal info I do not want to take a chance with.

In my experience, they are trashed at this point. Have tried everything to fix them and can’t (short of third party software). Because of this, I purchased a business account with Dropbox and everything is in the cloud (with local files
for files I use regularly). DB backs up regularly. Important files also get backed up to OneDrive (cloud – free – comes with Windows). Basically, I don’t use thumb drives, and my desktop and laptop are basically just dummy terminals now (except for the software
they have – which DB can also provide for a fee). Sorry to hear.
