In my experience, they are trashed at this point. Have tried everything to fix them and can¡¯t (short of third party software). Because of this, I purchased a business account with Dropbox and everything is in the cloud (with local files for files I use regularly). DB backs up regularly. Important files also get backed up to OneDrive (cloud ¨C free ¨C comes with Windows).
