Re: Interface for Long Lance

Hi Francis,

Having looked at both interfaces, I prefer the new interface where everything is on one tab for orders.

Regards

Dave

I now need your feedback to make my own mind. Dominique has already said that he dislikes the new interface and likes better the previous one, but I need more than one point of view. Please tell me which model of interface you prefer and why.
I attach two projects of interface so you can make your mind.

Virus-free.

Savo

Gents,

one last precision : visibility is now 14000 yards, so starshells are now almost useless.

Future Long Lance game

Gents,

right now, 13 players want to participate to the future Long Lance game :
Ludovic?Servera
Pascal Colombier
Dominique Guillemin
Dave Gaskell
Laurent Weiss
Aymeric Gribaut
Markus Baur
Marino Van Welden
Brandon Musler
Arnaud Massat
±á±ð°ù±¹¨¦ Perrot
Stefen Sarullo
Juhan

I let a few days to those who did not tell me yet their intention (Arnaud PP, Joseph), then will pick up the scenario. It is possible that I organize two small games rather than a big one, because it is usually easier to manage.

Best regards to all,

Francis

Savo

Gents,

I have sent the reports for Game Turn 12. Please issue your orders for GT13 before 27 March.

Thanks for not being late.

Good luck to all,

Francis

Re: Interface for Long Lance

I prefer the new interface. Everything needed on the same tab, and the addition of the timeline is a great improvement.

Thx Francis

Serious technical issue with Savo

the tool that I use to run the game has a serious technical issue: it cannot be saved anymore.
Erreur lors de l'enregistrement du document: Erreur g¨¦n¨¦rale. Erreur d'entr¨¦e/sortie g¨¦n¨¦rale.

Interface for Long Lance

Gents,

I am working on the interface that will be used during the next Long lance game.?
During several years, the interface we used had the special feature of calculating the coordinates of units from their initial location, heading and speed. Its advantage was to allow the player to use the coordinates to plan moves in Google Earth. The main problem, is that it sometimes broke down, when players accidently erased formulas.
For the current game (Savo 2), I developped a completely new interface. It is more simple as it contains very few formulas. It gives no coordinates, but cannot break down. Depending on your point of view, it may look more or less user friendly than the previous interface.

I now need your feedback to make my own mind. Dominique has already said that he dislikes the new interface and likes better the previous one, but I need more than one point of view. Please tell me which model of interface you prefer and why.
I attach two projects of interface so you can make your mind.

Thanks for your feedback,

Francis

Hello Francis

My lack of an answer was indeed the result of forgetfulness rather than disinterest. Do count me in for some more LL!
