Re: SWR High SSB ONLY - When Using LA-1K Amp
Beware of arcing on the SSB peaks! Lightning arrestors, connectors, tuner, antenna high voltage points. Make sure your RF path will sustain CW power equal to the SSB peak power. If not clear the

Re: SWR High SSB ONLY - When Using LA-1K Amp
I am also having the? Bypass SWR issue? My situation is similar to most of the post I have read. Everything seems to be fine with the amp when running FT8, 200-300 watts output, but on SSB it trips

Re: Question: Antenna Connections
ALWAYS? Really? What if you have a resonant antenna like a SteppIR. Why would you waste a tuner port when the tuner will never be used. Save it for an antenna that needs tuning. Everybody's

Re: Question: Antenna Connections
You have to configure the Amplifier to switch to port N for each band. Click the Band button, choose the port you want. It will remember the port when you choose that band or if the CAT data takes you

Re: Question: Antenna Connections
If you use a antenna port on the amplifier will it remember anytime I use that band? Sent: Sunday, September 13, 2020 3:29 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [la1k] Question: Antenna Connections

Re: Question: Antenna Connections
Same here I let the tuner do the switching . On one antenna I usually then go to manual because tuner misses the ideal setting.

Re: Question: Antenna Connections
If the SWR is good, use the AMP. If they need to be tuned, use the Tuner. The tuner will still try to turn a perfect SWR, which could catch you off guard if you forget to put it in

Question: Antenna Connections
I have both the LA-1K and the HF-Auto.? I have three (3) antennas that I would like to use.? My question is, should I connect the antennas to the LA-1K and do the antenna switching at the amplifier

Re: No Power out
Same thing here just this week, both my bonehead doings: 1) Rearranging cables, I didn’t get the PTT plug pushed back into the phono jack on the back of the amp far enough. 2) I use a QSK-2500

I personally would unplug the line from the FTDX and just short the TX line to the amp while transmitting. See if the amp kicks in then. *From:* [email protected] <[email protected]> *On Behalf Of

Re: Latest Firmware
If you just received it from Palstar then I wouldn't touch it. They simply haven't released the newer firmware (1.07G) to the general public yet. Be patient.

Re: Latest Firmware
Hi Eric - that version was inadvertently applied to a few LA-1Ks, there's no need to downgrade.? This version monitors the drive level continuously whereas previous versions checked the drive power

Re: Latest Firmware
Hi Eric, Gratz on your new amp. It’s a very good amplifier. Your ahead of everyone else so don’t touch the firmware and enjoy your new amp! 73 Barry VE6UM Sent: August 29, 2020 10:11
