Re: Introduction and a few questions
Many users receive yahoo group messages via e-mail, so attachments are frowned upon as that make the downloads large. This goes back to the days when phone charges for dial-up were expensive and so

Re: Introduction and a few questions
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately "Fast Switching" is only for the PCB layout tool. It is not available in the Symbol Editor, which is what I need for making schematic symbols. Steve

Re: Introduction and a few questions

Re: Introduction and a few questions
Hi, For 5.1.2 version with previous versions is the same, it may change the menu where the settings are placed. View-> Grid settings -> Fast switching With Alt+1 and Alt+2 grid switching is performed.

Re: Introduction and a few questions
Hmm. I don't see that option in my menu (screen shot attached). I'm using KiCad 5.1.2. Which version are you using? Also, if convenient, please post a screen shot. Thanks, Steve

Introduction and a few questions
Hi all - I'm one of the maintainers for KiCad on Fedora Linux. I've used KiCad very successfully on a few board designs. I previously used Eagle, but once they went to a leasing model I gave them up

Re: Red/Yellow Circles
Sounds like the graphics memory has got confused. Have you tried a redraw? View -> redraw (or F3) Switching the canvas may also clear this. Andy "ve3poa@... [kicad-users]"

Re: remove track doesn't work!???
Hi, this is not grid related. I have found a few changes in useage to the older KiCAD version which I consider inconvenient and a step backwards. - I could finally remove the stubs in normal mode
