Re: Footprint without schematic symbol
Thanks, Andy. Yes, that's what I should be doing, but it's a big job to get started on. I'm trying to appease the alligators, before draining he swamp.

Re: Footprint without schematic symbol
SW_DP3T looks something like what you are asking form it's in the switch lib. Get used to making your own footprints and symbols it's one of the most useful things you can do as it's a great time

Footprint without schematic symbol
I want to use a double-pole switch with centre-off position, and the footprint: Button_Switch_THT:SW_Push_2P2T_Vertical_E-Switch_800UDP8P1A1M6 is good. But I can't find? a schematic symbol for it,

Re: Problemsending data from schematic to PCB
Yes, that was the problem, but the designations need to show in order to put the components in their places.

Problemsending data from schematic to PCB
I have drawn a schematic and corrected all the errors. When I switch to PCB, the footprints appear but no designations and other text for them. I cannot find any setting that would make the

Re: Power flag problem
You can place a PWR_FLAG symbol on the relevant net. You can find this in symbol folder called "Power". Usually, GND also needs one. -- Regards, Tony

Re: Power flag problem
Thank you. My problem cam from opening the power symbol list by clicking on the 'earth/ground' icon. The list that opened did not show the PWR_FLG symbol, but later it appeared. I suppose the list did

Re: Power flag problem
You need to connect a power flag symbol to each of the two wires. You'll find it in the standard symbol libraries (it looks like a lollipop). Regards, Robert -- * Plain text email - safe, readable,

Re: DB15 connector symbol
Indeed. For some reason, they all got to be called 'DB', perhaps because the 25-contact size shell was so widely used. And before the high-density range was introduced, the pin-count and shell-size

Re: DB15 connector symbol
Oops; I actually lied. The SHELL size is indicated by the character after the D; turns out that there are multiple pin densities that can be fitted to each shell size. Donald.

D-submini connectors use the character after the "D" to indicate pin count: Donald.
