So does anybody know how to COMPLETELY REMOVE JMRI from my PC that is running MS Windows 11.

?

EVERYTHING all code, all data, registry entries etc etc etc etc.

?

I will also need to remove java correct?

Tim,

Start PanelPro. ?Go to Help -> Locations. ?It will show you the locations for each type of JMRI data. ?By default, other than the install location, they will be sub directories under the "settings" location. ?Quit PanelPro.

Use the Windows control panel to delete the JMRI install. ?There will normally be a left over JMRI directory at C:\Program Files (x86). ?Manually delete that.

Delete the JMRI directory at C:\Users\<user name>. ?Delete any JMRI related directories outside of settings as indicated by Help -> Locations.

For Windows 11, you uninstall JMRI like any other application.? Under Settings, Apps, Installed apps,? search for JMRI and uninstall.? That will remove the program.? To remove all data, delete your JMRI user profile directory.? I would not recommend the later as the amount of data created by JMRI is insignificant.?

Please don't try to "delete" anything via the Control Panel - Uninstall it if you want to remove it. Although AFAIK JMRI itself doesn't create any registry entries, I'm pretty sure the Windows install process does. Simply "deleting" JMRI folders will leave those registry entries behind.

Having said that, if you really want to get rid of everything JMRI (Java is totally separate) including user files and registry entries, use an uninstaller such as the .
