Locked How to set BEMF cutoff?
Hi Folks,
I'm reading up on BEMF/BEMF cutoff and am still a bit confused.
I'm interested in having a switcher locomotive have better slow speed operation.?
I looked at Decoder Pro and the BEMF cutoff value was 0.
I tried changing it to 10 and it seems to run better at slow speeds but I wanted to understand what the values mean?
If I set the BEMF cutoff to say 10, vs 30, what does that mean?
I'm guessing it means to use BEMF up until the speed step 10, then don't? Thanks for any intuitive explanations of how to set this value.
Regards

开云体育He has since posted on the Soundtraxx group TSU-1100. Thanks Peter. He will hopefully get an answer there. Soundtraxx references their Tsunami2 technical manual for the TSU-1100. I find no mention of “cutoff” among the BEMF parameters. I sure would like to know where he is reading the term “cutoff”, but I’m not going to join the Soundtraxx group just to find out. Too many groups already and I don’t use Soundtraxx decoders. |
