One year ago I upgraded to W11 with NCE hardware. I had to use Java21 to get it to work. Serial connector to USB cable worked best. On Sat, Mar 8, 2025, 2:54 PM Bill Suarez via <wsuarez=[email protected]> wrote:

With regards to boxcars, I agree with you, you might have a few too many!

Track Analysis Tool
#operationspro
First off, yes, probably have too many boxcars on the layout. ?So I ran the track analysis tool for boxcars and the results were:
Spurs. ?Track length 2877. 141%
Yard. ?Track length 2070. ?196%
CI. ?Track length 2635. ?154%
Staging. Track length 1050. ?386%
?
I run in Aggressive mode with 2 passes and get good car movement, however I do need to add flatcars and gondolas as they were down below 20% in total of all track types.
?
To what level should I be adjusting the boxcar percentages for best utilization?

Frequently Asked Questions/Topics/Official Announcements?
Rather than take up an entire screen with pinned, read-only messages, so we have to scroll down just to see any new messages, would it be possible to have a single message, linking to the topics in a Frequently Asked Questions/Topics article?

OperationsPro New feature, Routes
#operationspro
OperationsPro users, there's a new feature that I would like feedback on.? There's now a control for local moves in a train's route.? See for more information.

Any comments, good or bad are welcomed.

#announcement
Test release 5.11.4 of JMRI/DecoderPro is available for download.
This is the next in a series of test releases that will culminate in a production release, hopefully in June 2025. It's really helpful when people download, install and use these test releases so we can find and fix any inadvertent new problems early. If you are currently using JMRI 4.99.10 or earlier, there is an update process that we strongly recommend. See the release note section on updates: <> For more information on the issues, new features and bug fixes in 5.11.4 please see the release note: <> Note that JMRI is made available under the GNU General Public License. For more information, please see our copyright and licensing page. <> The download links, along with lots of other information which we hope you'll read, can be found on the release note page: <> Bob — Bob Jacobsen rgj1927@... |

My transits mostly run to safe sections so in my mind it’s a route. I know, wrong terminology. Thanks for the clues.

Ken, A route is not allocated, sections are. So maybe the CSV table is a map of sections and the turnout locks within a section. ----- Original message ----- From: "Ken Heywood via groups.io" <kheywood=[email protected]> Subject: Re: [jmriusers] How to Identify Turnouts Activated by An Allocated Section #dispatcher #logixng Date: Friday, March 07, 2025 10:33 PM That’s right. Re: How to Identify Turnouts Activated by An Allocated Section

Ken, The simple approach is to use a LogixNG CSV table that maps a transit name to the turnouts in the transit. ?When the transit is active while in ABS mode, the locks are enabled. Re: command centre same loconet operation over and over and over and over in a loop
开云体育Darrell, This is a result of a new 'feature' in the newer command stations. If track power is off, then when you send some commands, the commands get buffered by the command station, until it gets full! (peanut sized buffer) Once it is full, then the command station barfs and tells JMRI to resend the command. That is what you are seeing and it will continue until you turn track power on.
