Dear Marc,
Yes they are in a consist. Broadway Limited units are 2 A units, Digitrax are 3 units, 2 FP7As and 1 F7B. Both these consists are run with all the units in the consist set to the same address, but with varying Speed Settings to match speed. However the max speed issue is the same whether running in consist or separately.

You must write the selections out to decoder? via one of the four " WRITE " options or the changes you make will have no effect on decoder.

If you try and close DecoderPro or the open? Roster window,? it will warn you that? the changes were not written to decoder and will be lost

Just spoke with a helpful person at Soundtraxx.? He has to dig around a little bit as the CV info didn't readily appear to him, so I am awaiting his follow up.

I should also mention we operate every month and all of us over the course of a year have to travel 3 hours at least once so our sessions range from 2 hours when we are showing off our new toys up to 8 hrs when we get serious about railroading

Does the Dispatcher perform the duties of the Clerk or is the Clerk a separate job on your railroads? If the Dispatcher does the Clerks job they already have all the info needed. If the Clerk is a separate job then you are requesting more info be programed in than most of us can get operators for. On the railroads I operate on I'm usually the Dispatcher, Clerk, and utility man with new operators. We don't run fast clocks or have to run a certain number of trains for a session I just print off another train and let the crews go. I know how long the sidings are and how many cars fit I also know how long it should take to work the jobs and I keep the railroad moving if someone needs to go in the hole that's what happens that's the fun for me watching crews trying to get their train clear so I can send another through. The owners of the roads let do this because I never do the same thing twice which keeps the railroads from becoming stale. One of the owners let me play around inside the program because the whole session is different every time. If they like what I did it will become a new part if not I put it back. We have been doing this now for over 5 years now I know what the owners want. I go for different every time but I always get permission first. We have so few operators (in a 200 mile area) that it is imperative we keep it new or find a new hobby like counting sunflowers.

Hi. I just did a speed matching on two BLI E units, an A and B set in HO. Are you using JMRI to program? If you do you should use the speedtable. In the speed table you can adjust the individual sliders or do the log curve and shift left or right. Look at the options under the sliders also enter 128 in the forward or reverse trim boxes. In these boxes you increase or decrease the speed if it's different in one direction or the other. Of course make sure that the running gear is clean a little harder to do in N scale I'm sure.

I built my original layout editor panels and have been using them to control my layout for about 5 years now w/o any problems. I’m now starting to install dwarf signals for the A/D tracks in my main yard and this is the first time adding signal masts to my yard panel in many years. I’m adding CMRI outputs (SMNI) as turnouts to control my three color leds in which I create my signal heads. I then use those signal heads to create my signal head controlled masts. All is fine and those masts work as expected. The trouble I am having is when editing those masts the edit mast window comes up mostly grayed out. I cannot see the signal heads assigned to the mast that I am editing so I cannot assign a different head to the mast. The only way to change things is to delete the mast and start all over again. This can be a real pain because in some cases I’ve already assigned them to logix which means that they cannot be deleted until I delete the logix that they are assigned with. I’m not sure when this change (or Bug) showed up as it’s been a number of years since I’ve done any signal updates but I remember back then one could always edit the masts.

Dennis, if you are only looking for the originally planned train consists and time of departures, I think that would indeed be available from the Switchlist generated by JMRI.?

I use the Excel add-ons to format my Manifests and Switchlists and I suspect it would be straight forward (for someone with the right skills) to pare down the Switchlist to merely a listing of trains showing departure time, locos assigned (if done in JMRI Operations), number of cars and tonnage of train.? Even possibly on one line per train.? Currently, I generate a Switchlist for the Yard Crews that list each train arriving or departing from their Yard with all cars listed.? All lists would only be able to show the expected consists and any errors picking up or dropping off would not be accounted for (for example, inadvertently dragging an extra car along or forgetting to drop one off which would increase the train length).

Interesting idea for Dispatch. I had thought about giving my Dispatcher a copy of each manifest since that does include all info, but it would be pages and pages of reference material, mostly unnecessary.?

Dave, I would appreciate it if you could try this version and advise results.
I was able to duplicate the 2nd crash, where a client connects/reconnects before the WiThrottle Server window is shown.
I still could not duplicate the 1st crash to verify that fix.

Thanks to all the responses so far.

Likely going to go with the GP35 as it is my understanding that the Walthers Tsunamis may have slightly different programming features than the non-OEM decoders.

FWIW, also going to give Walthers a call today to see if they have/can provide a CV sheet.? If they do, it will be promptly provided to our JMRI/Decoder pro "wizards" :)

Starting with 4.19.2 (it wasn't a problem in 4.19.1), I can't see the bottom of my panels, and I can't zoom out, nor scroll down. This is also present in current code (as of 8:15 AM, EST). The environment is Windows (both 8 and 10), Java 1.8.0_231, Digitrax, both with DCS 100 and standalone with Loconet simulator. It could be something I'm doing, but most likely not, since the behavior changed between 4.19.1 and 4.19.2

Hi Gang, I am reconfiguring my layout room and will now have a dedicated space on a desk for my laptop. Problem is that it is about 25 feet away from my NCE Powerhouse system. When I started with JMRI a few weeks back, I learned the hard way to follow the suggestions found here and bought a proper FDTI cable. After going back and trying with no success to find that post, I believe It was reported that if I needed to extend that cable, I could use a RS 232 or serial port cable which is a straight pass-thru cable? ? ? ? The logs don't lie.?? I have learned so much from reading other people's logs on this site and what type of error they are describing.

I have several DCC N Scale locomotives that run slower when at max throttle. Three (3) are older Broadway Limited E units with factory installed DCC Sound Decoders. Three (3) are Intermountain F units with Digitrax DCC installed (two FP7As- Decoder DN166I2 and one F7B- Decoder DN166I1C). My controls are a Digitrax DCS 240 Command Station running through a DCC Specialties PSX4 board. I program on a isolated programming track connected to the DCS 240 through a PTB Programming Booster, see below.

Using JMRI DecoderPro, I've tried setting the Basic Speed Control- Start Volts, Mid Volts and Max Volts, with the Max Volts at the highest setting of 255. DecoderPro shows it's resetting the settings and the locomotives do their little "Jerk," or in the case of the A units the lights flash. No change, still running slow.

Is there a way to "manually" set the CVs to increase maximum voltage and therefor speed?
