Thanks Marc,
I am set up in Stand alone mode, my lights seem to work as you described. I may be wrong but I had all the cables in the same box and only had one power supply for my DCS 52, which I run independently from the system. On the PR3 I have two wires hooked directly to the test track and run a USB to the computer (thats it) which I am assuming after reading is my issue, although as I said before, these are the same cables I had it set up with originally. I have never has a serial adaptor, so I am going to assume that is the solution even though it worked with these cables before. ( I have several dozen locos set up in the roster that I programmed using this cable. Also, if running as Stand Alone, in configuration I have the system connection set to Loconet PR3, the serial port is correct ?(cu.usbmodem1421), command station type is PR3 Stand alone programmer, conn prefix is L, connection name is Loconet. I am unfamiliar with a system console log or where to access it. Getting ready to ditch the Mac and grab a pc... Thanks again, Craig |

Re: Decoder Pro for Tsunami2 Steam
That is not a JMRI version issue, that is an "OPPS" on the part of the author of the definition file who added the TSU2 2200.? He mistakenly used those from the ELECTRIC and that is why you see pneumatic doors and pantograph.

Re: Decoder Pro for Tsunami2 Steam
开云体育Bill, 4.16 will cause you troubles with a LocoBuffer-USB. Upgrade to
4.17.4 or wait for 4.17.7 due out very soon now. (don't use 4.17.5
or 4.17.6 either) I'm not saying that this is the cause of your
Tsunami issue, but 4.16 might not even be communicating with the
command station. Dick :) On 12/10/2019 6:58 PM, william darnaby

The web client now supports arrows, bridges, end bumpers and tunnels! ;-) Do you need to download a file to get these decorations, or are they in with the updated JMRI? Thanks,? Scott Clements

Dave,
Thanks for your help I'll try reinstating Sections, Transits and dispatcher, change the colour of my tracks, and upload the xml if it still doesn't work. I probably ought to do some research on US signalling practice, I'm more used to European systems. Alasdair |

Re: Automating a layout with a Panel Pro

Alasdair, Since you have defined the layout structure using Layout Editor, Dispatcher is probably your best choice for automation. Layout Editor based NX is designed to implement NX based dispatching, not automation. ?It is an alternative to CTC dispatching. ?In the US, the Union Pacific used NX. ?If the block topology is valid, then NX pairs using the Interlocking option will set turnouts. When you edit a track component, you change the the normal, occupied and reserved block colors by selecting "Create/Edit Block". If you upload your panel xml file to the ProblemsBeingWorkedOn folder, someone can take a look at it and see if there are Dispatcher issues. I've drawn up the railway in layout editor, and linked up the block sensors and points. The signals work correctly based on track occupancy and switch settings, but I'm struggling to get automation working. My questions are: 1. Should I be trying to use transits and dispatcher, or NX routing, or warrants, or something else? 2. I've tried using NX routing but it wont set the switches - any ideas why? 3. When I tried using dispatcher, it didn't like driving the trains in auto (Throttle window appears, can drive manually, but auto has zero speed) - any idea why? 4. Re: DecoderPro Preferences folder is empty
Dave, I will uninstall all JMRI references, i.e. programs & registry a little later today. First, I have to clean up the "workspace" while trying to make sense of all the paper I've printed. Almost?as bad as IBM, 12 lineal feet of manuals with every new system we ordered. BUT, the info was there, you may have to hunt but it was there. Steps I'm doing to use to remove all references to JMRI:
Progress will be reported later - Dennis Munro On Tue, Dec 10, 2019 at 12:09 AM Dave Heap <dgheap@...> wrote:

Note: the web client does support each block using different colors; you may be able to use that to further distinguish your tracks.

The Signal Mast Repeaters section in the documentation has a typo on line 2 that says, " ..., and van be set as Slave, ...", instead of, "..., and can be set as Slave,...). The bold face added by me to identify needed change. ?The documentation could use ?the addition of a statement that indicates that the Signal Masts must be Stored prior to attempting use of the Repeaters tool.

Re: Printing route point settings
Renton, You want to move the script to your User Files Location. ?Use Help >> Locations and select the Open User Files Locations. ?The Finder will start at that location. ?Never change the contents of the JMRI install. To simplify running custom scripts, go to Preferences >> File Locations. ?Copy the contents of User Files Location to the Jython Script Location field and then save the Preferences. ?After re-starting, the Run Script window will open at the user files location. Re: JMRI panel pro Sections
Tim, I assume you are talking about an occupancy sensor. ?Since the occupancy sensor represents occupancy state for trackage between two block boundaries, the corresponding track components on the layout editor panel would all have the same block assignment. If you used the "Automatically Assign Blocks to Track" feature, you will need to change the block assignments. train setSpeedSetting tracking
Hi, i am looking for a way to tell when a train has actually stopped through issuing throttle.setSpeedSetting(0) or has reached the actual setting issued through issuing the command?throttle.setSpeedSetting(0.4) for example. Is this possible?

Re: DecoderPro Preferences folder is empty
开云体育Marc, Had this happen to me the other night. Had 4.17.6 and 4.17.1 installed on system, one as "This user only" and other If you had to manually clean up the registry, you should follow the instructions below: JMRI Cleanup Windows If you may have multiple JMRI versions installed, possibly one for "All Users" and one for "This User only". - Go to Control Panel-> "Programs and Features" and keep uninstalling JMRI, refreshing (F5) every time until all are gone. - Then navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\" and delete any JMRI folder if present. - Then navigate to "C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\" and delete any "\Program Files (x86)\JMRI" folder if present (you'll need to enable display of hidden files/folders). - **Don't delete** "C:\Users\<yourusername>\JMRI\". It has your data. - Then reinstall JMRI for "All Users". Dave in Australia |
