Birger, If you're not a Linux user, I strongly suggest just using my RPi-JMRI image, which has already addressed many of the issues you're likely to encounter. https://mstevetodd.com/rpi --SteveT

Yes and now things have changed once more to other variations. I am going to try a clean slate at this point. I suspect with me trying and validating fields are pointing to the correct folders in the

Re: Raspberry Pi - panel placement for Roster, Preferences, DCC-EX Monitor maximized at fixed locations. #preferences #roster #rpi
OK so I invoked the suggested Raspi-Config as Sudo and adjusted to the option of "labwc", power cycled and re-tested. No change in positioning of windows with PanelPro. Any further suggestions? Thank

Re: Steve Todd image window partly offscreen #rpi
Hi Dale, With JMRI not running, find and delete the user-interface.xml file from the profile folder you are using. All profiles are under the /home/pi/.jmri folder. Based on this message:

Great. My latest image does use the labwc window manager. Not sure about the older one. --SteveT

Re: Raspberry Pi - panel placement for Roster, Preferences, DCC-EX Monitor maximized at fixed locations. #preferences #roster #rpi
Steve, I switched to Labwc Window Manager. Rebooted. Still have VNC Server access. And I was able to maximize the Comprehensive Programmer window which filled the screen as expected. then was able to

Sorry Peter, I was replying to Steve. I did delete the .xml files you suggested and that made no difference. The Comprehensive Programmer still opened with the menu bar too high. I was able to

I set up something like this on the club layout: One (or more) setout/pickup track is identified, and it is the only track serviced by the local. The switcher also serves this track. The rest of the

What if you make the six doors of the warehouse six separate classification tracks, rather than spurs. You could then bar intra-yard moves but be otherwise unrestricted in plant-to-plant moves. Just

Are you replying to me or Steve? If it's me, then no it won't. It only affects the positioning and sizes of windows and will also affect sizes of columns in the Roster window. -- Peter

Re: Raspberry Pi - panel placement for Roster, Preferences, DCC-EX Monitor maximized at fixed locations. #preferences #roster #rpi
I would try (with JMRI not running) deleting the user-interface.xml file. There will be one for each profile. When you restart JMRI, a new user-interface.xml file will be created with all windows

Bill and Birger, I found that the labwc window manager worked the best, and is the one supported by RaspberryPi Foundation moving forward. So that's what I'm using, and I don't see the issues you've

Update 2. Loaded the Steve Todd image of the JMRI 5.10 and it has the same issue with the Comprehensive Programmer as my home built RPI OS does.
