One thing: the upgrade alone is not enough. Whether before or after upgrading, you will still need to go to the preferences and correctly set everything up. After that, 4.12 will leave things be,

Large numbers of C/MRI connections via Ethernet should not be a problem. Each one will use less than a MB of additional RAM. The network stacks are pretty efficient of CPU time, and don¡¯t care about
