Oracle¡¯s Java 11 might not support your PC, but the Java 11 from some other vendors go back quite far:

Although my PC is no dinosaur, I am told that Java 8 is the latest version it will handle, and that in turn restricts me to JMRI 4.2.6 and, for example, I am unable to get definitions for Digitrax SDH167D; the nearest my JMRI offers is SDH164D.
If there's a way around this, do please tell.
