I read through the homepage of coconutBattery and I see many mentions of ¡°iOS,¡± which appear to refer to both iPhones and iPads. This is a fair approach in my book. I don¡¯t see any mention of iOS version compatibility. After all, coconutBattery is a Mac app that provides information about Mac, iPhone, and iPad batteries. The app does not itself run on iPhone or iPad devices.
For what it¡¯s worth, a little history: The first iPhones shipped with iPhoneOS. This lasted through iPhoneOS 3, version 3.2 of which also ran on the first iPad in 2010. Later that year, Apple changed the branding for iOS 4 with compatibility on both iPhone and iPad, though not an identical operating system install on each device.
As of version 13, Apple split the branding to iOS and iPadOS for the respective devices, but this didn¡¯t exactly represent a change in the mobile device operating system itself, which already differentiated between iPhone and iPad.

coconutBattery as been around since before iDevices. ipadOS is only a couple of years old. I am sure the lack of a mention of ipadOS is just an oversight by the developer. IOS used to be used on iPads.
