Founded in 1994, I/O MUG is dedicated to enhancing the use of Macintosh computer systems by sharing information, support and insights with Macintosh computer users throughout the Global Community. The Internet, world-wide computer Network, is the conduit of our association. I/O MUG reaches out to the entire world unlike "traditional" Macintosh User Groups, that serve particular locations and interests. I/O MUG offers user group advantages, privileges and camaraderie to all that do not have the advantage of a MUG in their area or that cannot attend regular meetings or find them inconvenient. As of 2006, I/O MUG has accumulated over 15,000 members since 1994.
