Re: shut down / restart on keying, now no power
Make sure that all of the power connections are clean and tight. If the fuse holders are still in your power cable especially make sure that they are clean, bright and tight. Also if you have a dummy

Re: IC-7000 no rx and no sound out from speaker
Hi Geoff nothing on the S-meter, but occasionally the unit starts to splatter high levels of audio when warmed up - nothing recognizable just splatter. The 8v regulator underneath the main board gets

Re: IC-7000 no rx and no sound out from speaker
Good work James. Did you see anything on the display like a reaction on the S meter. Won't be surprised if not as some of the clocking inputs to the codec chip come from the clocking I/O pins of the

Just out of interest i would like to compare settings just in case mine are too far out. If anyone can compare with their settings that would be much appreciated
Re: IC-7000 no rx and no sound out from speaker
Hi All Confirmed the audio circuit from IC551 to speaker is ok by injecting 1khz tone at various points after IC551. Now waiting for the replacement ic551 to arrive. will keep you updated

Re: [IC-7000] Re: Front panel troubleshooting
James can you capacitively feed an audio signal, no greater than say 3Vpp, onto the pins 25/26 and see if you can hear/see any reaction. Monitor the signal at these pins with a CRO to see if its
