Re: [IC-7000] RE: icom 7000 book for dummies
I just use the PDF of the manual as well. It's well written and easy to follow. I find videos are to clumsy for me, as well as needing to find the time to watch them. But I've never been one who can

I have the Nifty guide and W7YEN's laminated condensed instruction sheet, but I mostly just pull up my pdf file of the Icom7000 manual. I can do a search, enlarge the page and print whatever I need. I

I find my best source of information on the '7000 is on YouTube. Just do a search there for the IC-7000, and you will find a lot of great 'know-how' videos there. 73, Curt WA2JSG NJ SKCC #3018T NAQCC

Re: [IC-7000] AGC setting?????
I spend more time on digital modes than anything else these days, so I tend to use fast AGC, which usually works best for digital. Yes, slow is usually better for SSB, unless conditions are rapidly

Re: [IC-7000] AGC setting?????
Slow is best for ssb or slow cw. Fast is best for am, fm, and fast cw. AGC keeps the receiver at a continuous gain for certain modes. Slow decay is where I keep it unless I am on am. 73 de kc4bo

Re: [IC-7000] 7000 for sale
Trollp strikes again, but he is right. If you really want to get something out of it, put it up for auction. Like a car, the value drops by about a half once you drive it off the lot. I like my 7k. 73

Re: [IC-7000] AGC setting?????
This isn't really an IC-7000 question, but one that holds for all operating. AGC speed is a personal thing about what you prefer. If you run it on fast all the time, you'll get tired of listening. If
