Re: [IC-7000] IC7000 Internal Clock Problem
I'm in this camp too, except for one thing. If the "feature" is there, it should work. Period. Like you, I don't think it has a good use at all, and any clock that doesn't have at least a 60 cycle

Re: [IC-7000] IC7000 Internal Clock Problem
It's been awhile since I looked at the schematic but I think there is a 38 KHz crystal in the radio for the RTC circuit. If there is no "padder" capacitor to adjust, the only solution is to replace

Re: [IC-7000] IC7000 Internal Clock Problem
From 1979, the time of my licensing, to May of this year, I never had a rig with a clock. Most had tubes. Does the rig work? Do you make contacts? Get good reports? Very sorry, but I fail to see the

IC7000 Internal Clock Problem
Has anyone else experienced a problem with the clock on the display losing time? After setting the time to WWV, I lose a minute about every two weeks and have to reset the clock. Rig is used as a base

Re: display problem
First question: . . . Is the control head separated from the body of the rig? Second question: . . . If so, do you have ferrites on the control cable between the two? Third question: . . . Have you

It could simply be a lack of RMS stations within your area. Also, propagation can sometimes be weird. I had one morning where all the highly ranked "local" gateways were inaccessible, and the only
