Re: [IC-7000] Cold Shack - Any Concerns?
The "L" in LCD display is liquid. ?They can freeze which can damage the display. Keep the shack above freezing and you should be OK. Perry K4PWO Sent from my Galaxy S?III

Re: [IC-7000] Cold Shack - Any Concerns?
I¡¯d be a bit concerned that after a day or so of very cold temperatures, a sudden warm humid day might result in condensation inside the cabinet. Les K8LES

Re: [IC-7000] Cold Shack - Any Concerns?

Cold Shack - Any Concerns?
My shack is in a 10x16 Shed that is outside of my house. It is insulated but not heated when not in use. Anything I should be concerned about with my gear being out there? Anything specific to the

Re: [IC-7000] Re: running hot.
Haven't had an issue. Mine runs warm, but not excessively hot. The one in the shack has run 24x7 for most of the past few years. -- 73 de Tony VK3JED/VK3IRL http://vkradio.com

Re: [IC-7000] Re: running hot.
I don't know where you are, but mine has a 1 year warranty from Icom, and an added 2 year warranty from the merchant. Should allow me to "burn it in" in that time! Many shops allow you a certain time

Re: Finals idle current adjustment - does it sounds like my 2m finals are blown?
Just to clarify: The FET on the small board is the driver (Q504). The pre-drivers are Q101, Q102. The first adjustment in section 4-4 sets the Driver idle bias. The remaining steps adjust the PA
