I've used 12V amplified "communications speaker" from Radio Shack for years. They no longer carry them but you can find them on eBay. They will put out enough volume for any passengers to readily

Please ignore. I have trouble shooted and eventually resolved the issue. I have however noticed the Icom runs hot with a burning smell after a couple of hours of use. Do any of you use external fans.
