Re: Evenin' all...

Aye thanks, a fair point indeed. I'll stick in a jack plug and put the
multimeter on it. What voltages could I expect to see for
headphones and line out? I seem to remember that line out is
around 1.5v, but no idea on headphones. If I find 240v I won't
plug my headphones or Marshall into it...!

Cheers,
Bruce

Re: [hammond_zone] Trek II Percussion in Pedals?

Chris Clifton

Hi Dave,
I guess you could switch the signal and keying connections to the pedals if
you wanted to. One difficulty that I can see is that the harmonics on the
B-3 pedals share buss-bars in the pedals, I expect the C-2 will be the same.
The fundamental and 3rd share, 2nd and 4th, 6th and 8th, 10th and 12th.
Whether this would be a problem or not depends on what you're trying to
achieve. Does the Trek percussion borrow one set of contacts for keying?
If it does you will lose two harmonics if you use it on the pedals.

Much obliged, and cheers to all for the warm welcome!

One more question while I think of it - in the top right corner of
the T202 front speaker cloth is a 1/4-inch jack socket, there's also
one on the hardboard back panel (this one looks like it might have
been added later). Neither is mentioned in the manual as far as I can
see, but the pics in the PDF manual are pretty lousy. I'm kind of
assuming the front one may be a headphone jack, the rear maybe a
line-out. Am I close to the truth or risking life, soul and

Welcome Bruce, (chuckles to self)

Sorry... sounds like a Monty Python sketch! LOL!

Seriously, I have a T202 as well... and I'm in the UK.... something in
common already! The 02 part refers to the cabinet style of the
instrument,
the T200 was the basic model the top of the range being the T500 series.
I
have an M102 as well, and as you have probably guessed... it has the same
cabinet, although somewhat nicer grain to the wood and better finish (due
to
being older). The rest of my Hammond family consists of an L122 and an
X5.
Also a collection of Leslies... 120, 125, 145, 760.

Can you tell I love Hammonds??

Enjoy your time with us! Your more than welcome. Tell your friends.

ANY SUGGESTIONS

Hi to everyone, My name is jim and have just joined this group, I dont play
the organ my self but my daughter does, However i have just purchased an
aurora classic late 70s early 80s , I did not know what it was ,I just liked
the look of it, At present that is all it is because it does not actually
work, (problem) when switched on it just emits a buzzing sound and nothing
else. I have spoken to darren brown who gave me a considerable amount of
valuable info, But i am still open to suggestions and would welcome any
input. I will be picking it up this saturday (550 mile round trip, the family
think i am mad, i probably am, They think it is scrap, so i need to prove
the sceptics wrong, Many thanks, Jim:

Hi Jeff,
Given that any musical genre is almost impossible to categorically define.
There will always be some music that defies any arbitrary rules.
"Prog Rock" is typically characterised by a strong rhythmic riff or motif
throughout the song, and long improvised solos by any or all
members of the
band. The best way to find out is to listen to some of the bands
that have
been mentioned in this thread. I'm sure that there must be many
MP3 tracks
available on the web of these bands
