Re: No need to cut green wire or ream wider hole for bnc connector
Why go to the trouble? A PL-259 elbow topped by a 259-BNC converter

Re: Backorder misery (MP-1 & Z-11) now RS antenna & dipole
Joe,
If you have access to Radio Shack...
The modified RS back of the set antenna with various
counterpoises will get you on the air 6-20M fairly quick.
For 6M use a jumper around the coil.

Powerpole Counterpoise
I have put up a Counterpoise kit for the ATX-Walkabout antenna. All the differnet colors of Powerpole connectors should be in stock in 7 - 10 days and we are now taking orders for early June delivery.

ordered my z11 from ldg and received it in about 3 weeks earlier this

with the 817 in the field.

Re: No need to cut green wire or ream wider hole for bnc connector
Hi Phil! Glad you found a solution that works for you.
My ATX hasn't arrived yet. But I've used various BNC cables as well
as the factory "duckie" & another HT antenna. I haven't had a
problem

No need to cut green wire or ream wider hole for bnc connector
Hi guys,
I have found that on my Yaesu FT-817 I can get away without cutting

CW filter selection
Thought I'd pass this along (maybe many of you already know this): I
normally leave the menu on the brk/kyr menu so I can easily turn off
the break-in and set cw speed. Its always bothered me that

Re: Best filter for PSK
300 would probably be OK for PSK, but if you wanted to try MFSK or
some other data modes it would be too narrow, so 500 would give
greater versatility.
