Re: Using dry-cell carrier as rechargeable battery pack
Hi cell I had exactly the same problem - I thought my cells were large ones - but they fit everything else. I have not tried Duracells - to expensive in the UK, but I wonder if they will go in. I'm

Re: Advice on CW and the 817???
The Palm mini-paddle is a brilliant design - the paddles retract into the case turtle-style for packing/transport. No problem at all throwing them into a pack and getting them knocked around. They

Re: Durable: ATX 3/8-24 +SuperAntennas FT-817 Mount

Re: Advice on CW and the 817???
The Palm minipaddle is VERY nice. I saw it at Dayton. SMOOTH! But I'm not about to spend $70 on a paddle that's going to get stuffed in a bag along with a radio, ATX, small gel-cell, headphones,

INRAD Filter
Hello, I have been reading references to an INRAD filter. I am not familiar with the term. Is this a brand name? or a type? If it is a brand name where can I find it? -- Best regards, Robert

My battery tray has a plastic flap that protects the cells from the edge of the case. This may be a new addition, as the unit is not yet a week old. I too had a problem in putting in the tray will

Re: Using dry-cell carrier as rechargeable battery pack
The ones I got from Maplin Electronics are, as near as I can measure them with just a ruler, 15.0mm in diameter. The fit in the 817 is so tight that extra half a millimeter will make a big difference.
