what should have been in the manual!

Re: Power adjust
Hi Ken,
Frankly, the FT-817 manual is one of the better written. If you did
read what it says in the manual about INTERNAL BATTERY operation, you
would have understood that it states that the

Re: Power adjust
Here's how to think of it.
In any case, the various number of solid bars indicates some form of low
power. Three icons is MOST of the power, 2 is SOME of the power, 1 is a TINY
bit of power, and NONE

Re: Power adjust
Ken,
You're understanding of what the manual doesn't tell
you is correct. When you are running from a battery,
you get a blinky power icon at 5W. When you run off a
power supply, you get no blinky

Power adjust
I am trying to set my 817 for 5 watts power. My manual says I will
have a "blinking icon" at 5 watts. Running from a Yaesu power supply
that powers my 757GX, I can't get it to go to a "blinking
