Re: Power bank questions
Hi Ron, My caution is to not confuse watts with watt-hours. Getting a 300w unit only tells you the maximum instantaneous AC power that the unit will deliver, but provides no

Re: Power bank questions
Greg, Obviously one would not get one of these power packs to run like a refrig or heater.? I got a 300W unit to run my soldering gun for events like putting together Field Day.? Works great. Yes,

Re: Power bank questions
Mmmm, careful. At 88 watt-hours, that's barely more than 7ah at 12v, not counting internal conversion losses. The inverter may be able to source 100 or 300 watts, but not for long. 300

There is USB-C, the connector standard, and USB-C PD which supports higher voltages and current ratings (like charging laptop batteries). If I understand the OP's desire, he wants a power bank that

USB-C can natively handle up to 5 amps.? Your phone has the circuitry built-in to use up to that amount.? As long as its 12V and <= 5A then you are good to go! Ryan NE1AM

Mostly heat in the transmission line and finals. If it's an antenna with radials on the ground, resistive ground losses.
