Rubbish! Wen I replaced my worn out encoder I carefully cut all the data connections and the mounting tabs, removed the encoder then carefully removed the soldered pin remains with a small tipped iron

You cannot simply cut the legs off. The encoder has two large mounting lugs that are soldered to big copper pads on the pcb, and you cannot just cut these off without causing damage. I highly

Thanks, I see Digikey have the Bourns encoders. I've not dismantled the radio to inspect it yet but is it possible just to cut the decoder off it's legs then remove the legs individually? I'm not

There should be several relay clicks between 160m and 10m, and the clicks should be quite audible. Are you powering off battery or the dc input at the rear? What voltage are you feeding into the
