Rubbish! Wen I replaced my worn out encoder I carefully cut all the data connections and the mounting tabs, removed the encoder then carefully removed the soldered pin remains with a small tipped iron and a pair of fine tweezers. I cleaned up the holes with desoldering braid and installed the replacement from Yaesu. Everything works perfectly now.
