Re: Frequency programming keypad
Chirp doesn't sound like it would be very useful to me. If I understand this right you need a computer to use it. One more thing to carry into the field. [email protected]> wrote:

CHIRP is not an "app". It runs on Linux, Windows and AppleOS. [ https://chirpmyradio.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home#google_vignette |

Re: Frequency programming keypad
CHIRP is a software for your computer to setup memories for your radio. Can't remember the website but if you search Chirp radio programmer it will lead you to the correct place. I seem to remember it

Thanks to all for the information. I did look on the internet and found several keypads. None of these devices are being made now. I think I'll look into one of the kinda cheap Chinese import

Re: Frequency programming keypad
It should be fairly trivial to take a keypad and a micro-controller (RPi Pico?) and have it read the keypad and shoot the proper command to a radio over a serial port connected to a radio's cat

Dave, Your note reminded me that I have box on the shelf that appears to have 4 vintage assembled Universal QSYers and one unassembled kit. If that model seems like something you’d use feel free

Average Ham does not mean much these days.? Most repair of Ham gear is not that hi-tech.? Yaesu hires high school drop outs to do it. And replacing the FT817 PA finals on the is not that
