Re: CW filter options
You're totally correct.? W4RT closed their doors over a year ago.? They sold off all the filter kits, then offered up the bare boards last.? I bought up a few for "FUTURE NEEDS".? AFAIKT, nothing

Re: CW filter options
For the most part the filters are all made by Collins (and are no longer in production), so all the options go back to the same basic filter.?The various retailers mount the filter on a board

Re: Brian KB1RBK
Brian,
I forgot to ask...Have you tried listening on the AM or FM broadcast band? With an antenna connected you should hear those bands fairly well. You have to enable the AM/FM dial in Menu item

Re: Digest Number 8948
Hi
I guess it depends. If you don't do CW then the narrow filter isn't mandatory, and if only occasionally do CW
then an audio filter might be good enough. I have the 500HZ filter installed and have

Re: Digest Number 8948
The 500 hz cw filter is a mandatory addition to this radio. The SSB filter
is a bit close to the stock filter waveshape to probably not bother.
Thousands of contacts and I still love this radio

Brian,
Do you have a narrow filter in this radio? It is possible that you have
selected the narrow (CW) filter for all bands. That filter is normally only
500HZ wide or less if it is not a Yaesu
