Re: Power connector for Z11?
Doug,
According to my Z-11 Manual, the power connector is a 5.5 X 2.5 mm coaxial
connector. I got mine at Radio Shack, but don't have access to the RS part
number.
Hope this

Re: CAT-Interface circuit plan wanted!
The US manual does indeed say that level converters are not needed. I
suspect that Yaesu is finally catching up with current state of the art,
albeit about 10 years slow. In most applications, it's

Power connector for Z11?
Can someone tell me easily what power connector the Z11 uses?
I'm building cables for my power supply system, and figured I'd to get
a jump on it.

Check out K6XX's 817 pages.

This is just one of many examples found on the web
Often they're listed under ICOM, also.

Re: CAT-Interface circuit plan wanted!
Careful, as I understand it the level converter is not in the FT-817 but is
built into the CT-62 cable from Yaesu. If you just make your own cable you
won't have the required level conversion. For

Re: CAT-Interface circuit plan wanted!
I am not absolutly sure, but I think the converter is built in on the
FT817. Manual says the line level converter is built in. All you need
is the cable rig to serial. I am having trouble locating

CAT-Interface circuit plan wanted!
Hello Ham Operators!
Did anyone yet built his own CAT Interface for the FT-817?
A circuit plan for this Interface would be appreciated!
Thank you for writing back!

Re: Voltage vs. Power out
Hi Keith,
Beware putting battery packs in parallel! Not a good idea.
Let me offer you a thought that I have put into practice. I put onto
the power cord to the FT-817 the mating Molex connector

Re: Pictures ...
So what did you do for a ground? I've only seen pictures of the Alpha
Delta tripod, and it looks as if the only ground coupling is three
pieces of metal that lay flat on the ground from the bottom

Re: headsets for FT817
Hi Doug, I purchased a CT-26 (modular to 8 pin), computer headset and
located the pins for Mic/Ground/PTT. Wired up a cable to the CT-26
