I have the Outback Outreach and Alpha Delta tripod. Yes expensive,
like N4ZCG said, but what a performer!
The tripod will work with any mobile antenna that is looking for a 50
ohm load. The guys that made that tripod did a excellent job. I
have used several different makes of antennas, besides Outback, and
they all worked great with the Alpha Delta. The tripod has to be on
earth ground or you will need to add a counterpose.
I did a number of comparisons with tripod/Outreach and my Gap 80-10
meter vertical. Gap beat it by only 1 S unit on 20 meters. Antennas
were 100 feet apart and using electronic antenna switch to do the
switching.
I wonder how a High Sierra antenna might do with the Alpha Delta?
