Re: Repairing the VR-UNIT of a FT-817ND
I would recommend you get the FT817 "Service Manual", I think it can be downloaded from Yaesu.
Your FT817 looks pretty good inside.? So the case is scratched a little, not biggie, it is not dented or

Scared the heck out of me when I saw your message 'cause I just sent some high res photos directly to Sam. But I did it via the private response section. Phew!

Re: Repairing the VR-UNIT of a FT-817ND
Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Confirmed that the 1900 mAH battery pack
is now standard for ft-817ND per Yaesu. It is supported by internal charger
so convenient. A bit costly though.

Re: Repairing the VR-UNIT of a FT-817ND
Hello,
some answers for you.

I am in the middle of ordering parts from Yaesu and other suppliers to refubish and repair a FT-817ND. A fellow ham gave this project to me, after it waited 3 years for a

What's the pass band look like without the filter installed? Or with another filter installed?

SSB mechanical filter ripple?
I've just installed a YF-122s SSB filter in my FT-818, the audio certainly sounds much fuller but looking at the overall RF to audio spectrum there is considerable ripple and slope - amounting to

Hmmm?? Black Diamond watermelon are grown just about all over the US,
including here in Texas. Can be big and super sweet.? I love the seeds for

The one and only turn off (FOR ME) on the FT-991 is the inability to remove and remote the front panel. This is the one and only reason why I’ll stick to the 857. For my needs, that was a serious
