Re: Powermatic Refurb Parameters
Unfortunately if you measured runout like in your picture it¡¯s not correct.

Re: Powermatic Refurb Parameters
WD 40 and sandpaper/scotchbrite will get the rust off the table top, column and outside surface of the spindle (turn it on to do the spindle). Some simple green or ZEP and a rag will clean up the rest

Re: Powermatic Refurb Parameters
The older Powermatic tools may be quite a bit better than the new stuff. If this guy works and the quill does not wander it is probably going to be good.
Make sure the table raises and lowers

Re: Upgrading slider
Thank you for all the good tips.
I have the 5HP Oneida gorilla pro with 6" ducting.
As the wye branch has 4" branch anyway, I think I can simply try both ways. The machine adapter from 4" QC to 80mm

Re: Eccentric clamp alternatives?
Thanks for the suggestions and used a 10mm and 18mm wrench which did the trick. ?I like the unit and even the box it arrived in looks great. ?Appreciate the feedback.

Powermatic Refurb Parameters
A bit off-topic for the forum, but I've been watching the recent drill press discussions with interest as I am considering a related project.
I have been given an old Powermatic 1150A, I'm told it

Re: Received the Harvey hold down (AH-3T) today for my Hammer Winner
The thread looks course so tightening 1/8 turn more may not be possible.? Other options may be to mill the top of the nut or face the shoulder of the screw which takes machinery. Low tech solution is

Re: Upgrading slider
I put my hose on the overhead guard arm. No issues with swing ing the guard away, but I do not get really good extraction from the overhead guard. It certainly will not pick up little off-cut bits

Netanel,
I use a tilt deck trailer.? Rent a single axel one with a wooden deck.? You will be able to block the unit and use the shipping clips if it is off the pallet.

Re: Upgrading slider
I have a 10HP PP and 60a in my shop, I can start and run an 18 hp WideBelt, 3hp 1p dust collector, a Rolair 1.5hp 1P compressor and the lights don't even blink. a few reasons this works is that I work

I don¡¯t see an issue with that other than how it might restrict the overhead guard mast assembly with rotating it away from the saw blade. I¡¯m also not sure which type of saw guard assembly you

I never thought about using a single blast gate before the wye branch, but that makes sense. I¡¯ll do it. It will save me some money and make the setup easier.
