Any experts on 3 phase power issues?
I am having issues with the Utility supplied 3 phase power.? I live in a residential neighborhood and was lucky in that the utility was able to install two transformers on my property to deliver

Re: Electrical question[FOG] Finally found and purchased my Kundig wide belt sander
Joe, are you running a Smart Collector on the Kundig? The extra pull under pressure should be a real benefit. Sanding either wide, or thick pieces are always the problem with a WB. Too little or too

Re: Electrical question[FOG] Finally found and purchased my Kundig wide belt sander
The Kundig has only one 7¡± port. Seller had a 5HP Oneida with about 50 ft of duct and in the test before buy dust removal was great. Machine was really clean inside too, and not blown out, I could

Re: Questions for users of ??Euro groomers??
I defaulted to 1.25" shaper tooling, and only recently added 30mm bore options in my shop - nope, haven't found use cases that regular groover tooling didn't solve first. But if you had that as the

Re: Electrical question[FOG] Finally found and purchased my Kundig wide belt sander
The CFM in the Kundig manual makes me wonder if the manual was written for a two head with two ports and not edited for the single head machine. My 43" two head has two 180mm ports. Dave

Re: Electrical question[FOG] Finally found and purchased my Kundig wide belt sander
Agreed, manual specs don't make sense. I don't know know anything wide belts specifically, but 25HP is a lot of material removal power, and crude extrapolation from saws suggests to me that 4500 fpm

Re: VFD
Agreed with the others. Especially if you had motorized elevation/bevel. VFDs are the quickest/dirtiest means of powering a single 3 phase machine, but it quickly goes the other way with more complex

Thanks to both for your feedback. Do you both use the dado/groover on the saw as well as on the spindle?

Re: VFD
Mark, Short answer is don¡¯t do it. VFDs need to be connected directly to the motor. There can be switches in between but they can be left in on position. I use one on RL125 this way. RL switch

Does anyone run and of their 3 phase machinery on a Variable Frequency Drive off of single phase power? I'm specifically asking for my Sliding Table Saw K940s. But am also curious for other machines.

Re: Surfacer Issue - trapezoidal surface after a few passes #spiralcutterhead
I think maybe your outfeed table is maladjusted? It should be dead level with the cutting blade when it's at top dead center. On my old jointer, I used an inexpensive dial indicator with a wide button
