Re: Electrical question[FOG] Finally found and purchased my Kundig wide belt sander

The Kundig has only one 7¡± port.? Seller had a 5HP Oneida with about 50 ft of duct and in the test before buy dust removal was great. Machine was really clean inside too, and not blown out, I could tell.? I have the same collector and less duct.? I looked a lot at dust collection before buying as in my setup it would be a challenge to put in a bigger collector.? I saw a lot of Kundig two head machines. The 37¡± two head machines had two 6¡± ports.? The 43¡± two head machines have two 7¡± ports.? The single head machines have just one port.

Agreed, manual specs don't make sense.? ??

I don't know know anything wide belts specifically, but 25HP is a lot of material removal power, and crude extrapolation from saws suggests to me that 4500 fpm and 1200 cfm is nowhere near enough to pull 25HP worth of dust.? ?

I would note that the spec of 2700 cfm @4500 fpm is very close to two 7" ducts could handle.? Is there any chance there's two ports?

As one random point of comparison, I glanced at specs for a 25HP grizzly WB and it has six 4" ports, which is close to area of two 7" ducts.

Presumably Kundig can help clarify.?
