Re: Crazy Horse panel cart

I did not see this link in other posts, but this seems to be the website where one can select the Crazy Horse and then add it to the cart and then proceed to checkout! ?FYI.

For me, I do not have a lot of space in my shop anywhere close to what is on the youtube video. ?I store 4x8 plywood away from where my saw is located, and when I need to cut down a plywwood sheet, I then hand carry it over to the saw. ?My only possible alternative would be a panel cart as the width requirement is far less than the 4 ft plus clearance needed when the sheet is flat. ?When I am at the machine, being able to fix the slider and then position the panel is always awkward, and if this compact Crazy Horse will make that as easy as it looks on the youtube video in my shop where I have less space surrounding my saw, then that would be great!

Re: Rip fence locking lever

Thanks Brian
Sorry I should have said it's a 2015 K700s (and yes it locks onto the round bar)
I'll have to study my parts diagram and see if i can make any headway. I was hoping someone had already been down this road!

Stephen,

I went out and looked at my KF, I assume you are talking about the model that locks onto the round bar? I had too much stuff in the way to pull the whole head off the bar, but it appears that the plastic lever cams over and pulls the sheet metal yoke tight against the bar. I could see real well, but there appears to be several screws in the area of where the lever hits, so maybe they are some sort of adjustment. My parts list doesn¡¯t show this particular set of parts as this was a retrofit situation on the 2001 machines that came with an aluminum rip fence head that was completely different.

Re: Felder Widebelt Sander Belt Storage Option

George

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hi Joel, I checked out your pictures and really like the design you came up with. I think I¡¯m going to borrow it. My wide belt isn¡¯t a Felder so I may come off the ceiling instead of attaching to the machine. I checked Woodcraft and the 3 1/2¡± Forstner bit is $36.00 plus shipping and tax. I think I¡¯ll just use a piece of the ABS pipe on end to draw a circle, jig saw it close and then use the spindle sander to sand to the line. On a side note I see you have a Ridged spindle sander. ?I have one also. Don¡¯t use it much, but since it only cost $200 and works well, it earns it¡¯s keep. Thanks for sharing,George Gerstner?

On the Felder widebelt sander, I had a variety of belts and I did not want to dedicate wall space for use of handing the belts (better to use that for lumber storage) and so I built storage across the outfeed side of the sander.

What was helpful was the bolts on top that are to be used for crane machine lifting. ?They are M16 and I got 2 M16 nuts and 2 strong tie column bases. ?That provided the support for the wood that would be used to connect to 3 inch ABS pipe. ?The holes were drilled with a 3 1/2 inch Forstner Bit available at woodcraft followed by a slight sanding with the spindle sander. ?The holes were drilled 5 inches apart, but if I could do it over again I would allow just a bit more space. ?to find tune the pipe for any slight tilt, I added some adjustment bolts as shown in 1 of the photos. ?

I now have a way to store 5 belts in a very convenient location using space that would otherwise go unused.?

Just a thought in case anyone was interested.
