Re: Smoke on Resawing
I can't get to steam or smoke.. I can't because the blade takes a big bite thus little opportunity for the kind of friction buildup to create that kind of heat. I've had heat generated in a deep band

Re: Lucky's Latest 'Technique' article in Australian Wood Review #format4
David, I now recall seeing these but you have to agree what lucky showed is very simple. Although, I see that one might need two of them. For wide rips the first magnet will end up on the slider. So

Re: T-nut for the sliding table
Two weeks ago, I would have bought these for my Kreg clamps. In the meantime, I made some from a piece of 170-year-old oak and Tee nuts. The only problem I had was the oak was too hard for the tee

Re: 24¡± Panel Crafter Model 609
I've been known to do the same. Or I buy something I think I want or need only to discover I don't really. Or like my recent Oliver bandsaw restoration, I take it 90% of the way and come to an

Re: 24¡± Panel Crafter Model 609
Jason, Frankly, I just wanted to see one and took a chance on an auction. I am most surprised at the heft. Being AL I did not expect it to be as heavy as it is. I figured, if I can sell it great if

Re: T-nut for the sliding table
?If you use the flat bar stock, 1/2¡±x1 1/4¡± (I used CR1018), it will fit Xroll but would require a small radius on the two bottom long sides for the pre Xroll Felder table, like my 2002 KF700. I

Re: Clamps and accessories
Imran, Wade, I do have a knob located in front to secure the clamp jig to the table first. So, this is not exactly as in David's schema. This is the knob I purchased:

Re: Lucky's Latest 'Technique' article in Australian Wood Review #format4
Great article. I don¡¯t own parallel clamps and wondered about calibration, so both clamps are identically set. Great simple jig shown by Lucky to accomplish this. Imran

Haha on the butt bar comment. Aussies rarely say ¡°butt¡± as we prefer ¡°bum¡±. But I figured ¡°bum bar¡± wouldn¡¯t wash. If I had any more English blood in me I¡¯d have tried ¡°arse bar¡±
