There are commissioning checklists in the files section. ?Sounds like you’re in for a long night of supervision. ?

David, I hope it is that simple! I will not do anything with it until the tech gets here, though. I do not want Felder telling me I broke something! I appreciate the input about possible causes/solutions, so I know what to expect from the technician.

I did observe that the stop that limits the slider movement is placed incorrectly, so the slider will not clear the cover for the blade. That will be easy to fix.

Weird, I don't have that knob/shaft attached to mine. I'll have to look at my loose parts that came with my machine to see if it's laying around.

Most likely then, the bearing cage needs to be centered. To do this, force the sliding table to the absolute extreme end of travel in both directions. ?That will center the bearing cage. ?

Re: F700Z slider to cast-iron height difference

Hi, I do a fair amount of template copying and have never had an issue with using a pattern that bridges the cast and sliding table.
?
The angle induced is so small as to inconsequential .

When tenoning I use the tenon table and guard.
?
The tenon hood allows for larger cutters and the guard provides protection from the cutter when the tenon isn’t being cut.

Did you remove the plastic transporting locking dowels that are wedged in between the bearing ways of the lower carriage and the sliding table? ??

I did mount the slider onto the saw, so I could verify clearances. This slider is very hard to move. It takes two hands to move it. I hope that is a simple thing for the tech to fix.

I guess I should also point out that for template pattern work, I use a spiral cutter that is only 100mm in diameter with an integral rub bearing. ?

David and Imran,

Thanks?again for your valuable feedback. David, there is one more question?relating to template routing - how do I fit this into the equation of having the slider 0.15mm higher than the cast iron? When you work using templates and remove the fence, do you simply cover the entire slider and cast iron with a material equivalent to the sled you described and cut out a hole the size of your cutterhead? It seems that I would need to be covering the beautiful cast iron table for a lot of my work - for template work and profiling wide boards on a sled. And the wide boards don't even need to be terribly wide since there is not much cast iron left before the slider interferes if I use a 180-200mm diameter cutterhead.

Netanel,
I wired my power feed outlet on my go Gomad so it has its own push button to start on my panel so I can test it without the shaper running and when its feeding with the shaper of running and I have to kill the switch to stop it running with the shaper running it cuts out when I start the shaper back up. The power feed doesn’t start until I activate
As for that power feeder, don’t have once I can’t tell you, but I can’t tell you that the roller should be precisely set parallel to the table xyz. The only time you don’t want them running parallel with the table is if you’re using one of the rollers to feed radius work.

2)Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, I am not referring to the picture you attached where you move the PF, but to move the base that is attached to the shaper.
I tired to change the part that is attached to the machine chassis without any success, but base is stuck. When do you place the PF when you try to swing it away?
?
3)I actually create a spacer from aluminum block like you did only to found out that Felder changed the design and now they use 3 holes an not one. now I need to order a new block from Mc-master :\

4)I'll contact Felder after I'll get some mileage

Nate,

Repeating what David said a little differently. Loosen the lock for swinging the PF between horizontal and vertical and lift up on black knob up front (pink arrow) and lock it in the desired position. I think 1-2 mm can be removed just by doing this.

Re: Hardware for hanging wall cabinets

Given that your base cabinets are already in place, do yourself a huge favor and pick up a pair of Third Hand cabinet jacks?from Fastcap. They make installing the uppers in this situation a breeze.

I've only used the metal hanging rail system that Ikea uses, and it is very slick. This one from PM is available individually if you don't need to buy 100 like the link you provided.?

Neither one of those t-nuts will meet the requirements. ?You need two set-screws to anchor the T-nut in the slider, and counterbores at each end so you can reverse the T-nut for leveling with grub screws in the shoulders on one side of the T-nut.
