David, I hope it is that simple! I will not do anything with it until the tech gets here, though. I do not want Felder telling me I broke something! I appreciate the input about possible causes/solutions, so I know what to expect from the technician.

I did observe that the stop that limits the slider movement is placed incorrectly, so the slider will not clear the cover for the blade. That will be easy to fix.
